张文栋教授是中北大学省部共建动态测试技术国家重点实验室主任，山西欧美同学会长，山西省人大教科文卫工委副主任。曾任中北大学、太原理工大学校长，山西省教育厅长等。1995年在北京理工大学工学获工学博士学位，是2000年全国百篇优博获得者。先后在清华大学做博士后研究，美国加州伯克利、麻省理工大学高级访问学者，巴黎高师访问教授，日本AIST研究员。长期从事动态测试和微米纳米技术研究，先后主持完成国家自然科学基金委杰出青年基金、国家“863”、国防“973”等国家级项目15项，发表学术论文342篇，出版著作8部，获得国家发明专利授权76项，研究成果先后获得国家科技成果奖5项。获国家级教学成果奖1项。2011获何梁何利科技创新奖。

Prof Wendong Zhang is director of the State Key Laboratory of Dynamic Testing Technology at North University of China (NUC). He got BS and MS from NUC, Ph.D from BIT (Beijing Institute of Technology) in 1982, 1986, and 1995, respectively. He worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Tsinghua University and visiting professor at UC Berkeley, MIT, and Ecole Normale Superieure de Paris. He also worked as a research fellow in AIST of Japan.

His research interests focus on dynamic Measurement and micro/nanotechnology. He has published 342 academic papers, 8 books and obtained 76 national invention patent authorizations. His doctoral thesis won the national one hundred outstanding doctoral dissertations in 2000. He received The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 1997 and the Prize for Scientific and Technological Innovation from the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Committee in 2011. He has been recognized with 5 National Science and Technology Awards in 1991,1995, 2003, 2010, and 2011.
